Cervidae is a family of mammals, with species that include white-tailed deer, mule deer (such as the black-tailed deer), elk, moose, red deer, reindeer (caribou), fallow deer, and others. Most Male deer of all species (and female reindeer) grow and shed new antlers each year. Pronghorn / antelope are related, but have permanent horns.
